The Job :
- Ensure purchasing decisions adhere to Corporate Procurement Policy and Principles.
- Develop and maintain local policies and procedures which are aligned to the corporation.
- Manage contracts of services and supplies in best interests of CPChem and affiliates.
- Collaborate with corporate procurement in categories where synergy exists.
- Maintain metrics to measure effectiveness and performance of purchasing activities.
- Continuously improve performance by reducing cost, improving quality, or reducing supply risks.
- Share information with internal stakeholders on best practices, price trends, and options for goods and services.
- Manage performance of contractors, suppliers, and third-party service providers.
- Build and maintain appropriate business relationship for effective communications and competitive supplies.
- Assume Subject Matter Expert (SME) role for supplier management, sourcing, contracts workspace and procurement modules in SAP Ariba system or others system for upgrades for Asia Region.
Qualifications/Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration.
- At least 5 years working experience in purchasing at an international company.
- Strong knowledge in contract laws and negotiation techniques
- Good leadership and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP.
- Good working knowledge of purchasing processes and procedures.
