Job Descriptions

1. Proficient in latest audit techniques, pronouncements, ability to execute the technical aspects of the audit department including the formulation of work processes, audit methodology, programs and checklists, etc.

2. Sound technical knowledge and competency to handle all areas of auditing under the International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS), Singapore Financial Reporting Standard (SFRS), relevant statutory rules and good understanding in the regulatory compliance and procedures.

3. Responsible for the continuous hands-on training, coaching, supervision and monitoring of audit staff and able to share knowledge with team members by conducting regular internal technical training & updates requirements for the audit staff personnel to attain experiences that cultivate technical competences.

4. Overseeing the start-to-end process of a portfolio of audit clients and review of audit files with responsibility for financial reporting, audit, technical advisories, audit job planning and resource allocation.

5. Ensuring quality in compliance with professional standards and requirements, delivery, and budget including control of billings and payment collection.

6. Participate and supervise in the provision of other services such as compilation of financial statements, tax advisories and compliance, creditors’ winding-up, etc.

7. Ensure that auditing functions are completed in a professional manner and within agreed timelines with ability to manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines.

Job Requirements

1. Must hold the Public Accountant and Chartered Accountant Audit Practice Certificate from ACRA and able to sign audited financial statements.

2. Degree in Accountancy / CA Singapore / CPA or equivalent recognised professional qualification.

3. A minimum of 5 years of audit experience and at least 2 years in the managerial role in an audit firm and currently working in audit firm.

4. Excellent written and spoken communication skills to effectively communicate any issues in a timely and organised manner to the clients, staff and audit partner.

5. Collaborate and communicate with staff and audit partner on client issue resolution and make recommendation for any legal, regulatory, and accounting issues that arise during an audit engagement.

6. Able to start work on short notice will be an added advantage.
