We are looking for a manager who would be core to our Sustainability reporting topic team (SRTT) in Corporate Reporting Services which is building our expertise in this rapidly evolving area. Given that the sustainability reporting standards are evolving rapidly, you will be involved in evaluating the interpretation of the standards during the development stage. In addition, you will be involved in providing expert advice on a variety of specific topics, support our ESG assurance and advisory engagement teams in resolving complex issues, and supporting clients in evaluating the potential impact of sustainability reporting standard setting initiatives. You will develop strong relationships with our engagement teams and established clients and enhance our ability to meet greater investor expectations with the challenges of an increasingly complex business environment.
Responsibilities:

Coordinating and participating in Sustainability projects

External and internal communication on Sustainability reporting update
-
Supporting engagement teams on consultations and enquiries by providing expert guidance on sustainability reporting and accounting issues

Planning and presenting at internal and external training and conferences, developing thought leadership with the focus on Sustainability and contributing to team initiatives to build your reputation as a subject matter expert in this space

Developing deep technical knowledge and expertise in the application and interpretation of sustainability reporting and accounting standards
-
Developing our internal consultation and other quality control policies
-
Engagement with regulators on sustainability-related topics
-
Helping to shape the future of Sustainability reporting standards by contributing to response letters to standard setters/regulators on discussion papers and exposure drafts

Coordinating and working with various teams involved in Sustainability reporting (e.g., the sustainability services team, methodology team)
-
Participate in global sustainability reporting working groups to discuss and develop global technical resources to support engagement teams

Building networks and meaningful connections within our Global Corporate Reporting Services and Global Sustainability Reporting Topic Team network to stay abreast of Sustainability issues, issues impacting the industry, clients, and engagement teams

Being involved in the day-to-day activities to support the team
Requirements:

At least 5 years professional experience with Sustainability and/or IFRS/SFRS(I)/SFRS exposure preferred

Demonstrate ability to think conceptually and find solutions to complex issues
-
Hold an understanding of how to quickly absorb technical information, identify and translate this into the commercial implications for clients and engagement teams

Passionate about being at the forefront of change, ready to help our Assurance team solve complex sustainability reporting and accounting issues, build trust in the work we do and provide confidence on the bigger decisions

A willingness to challenge points of views and opinion, through presenting logical arguments
