Position Purpose:

• Lead a team of finance staff with Finance Manager (Expat) on day to day running to ensure smooth operation of all finance and accounting matters.
• Lead, manage, and involve in the operations in the areas of Finance & Accounting, Statutory Reporting and Tax, Legal, J-Sox, Internal audits of Co & subsidiaries to ensure that the functional areas operate efficiently to provide effective support to meet Company’s objectives.
• Ensure that the company is operating in compliance with relevant laws & regulations, compliance standards.
• Responsible for reviewing subsidiaries’ financial reports and timely submission to management.
• Responsible for subsidiaries’ Internal Audit and Compliance J-Sox.
• Be a catalyst of change and lead the team for next phase of growth.
• Plan and guide team to meet Company’s goals and objectives.
• Ad hoc assignments.

Job Description

Accounting Responsibility

• Review the profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, management financial reports and regulatory reports and filings, analysis of Company and its companies.
• Train Supervisor to supervise staff to ensure their works are of high standard complying to established standards and regulations.
• Maintain, review and implement internal controls procedures and policy to improve efficiency.
• Liaise with external auditors, and tax agent relating to statutory audit, tax filings and other statutory matters.
• Ensure compliance to statutory requirements in accounting standards and tax regulations.

Reporting

• Financial reporting, including subsidiary financial reporting.
• Prepare and ensure prompt submission of report to Head Office.
• Analyze actual results to budget and forecast.

Budgeting

• Manage strategic planning functions, such as developing and recommending appropriate budgets and plans to cut cost.
• Liaise and consolidate with departments on their budget and tracking.

Internal Audit

• Responsible to conduct Internal Audit in subsidiary companies.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or ACCA.
• Chartered Accountant will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant work experience or combined experience in similar capacity.
• Excellent Finance & Accounting Knowledge including FRS, Corporate Income Tax, GST, withholding tax, Transfer Pricing, etc.
• Strong knowledge of local laws & legislations.
• General Knowledge of corporate & office compliance matters.
• Office management skills (preferred).
• Good in – Improvement mindset, Team Building skills, Communication and Follow-up skills.
• Willing to travel regionally.
