Job Summary:
APAC Legal Entity Risk Reporting – Associate Firmwide Risk Reporting and Middle Office (RRMO), a group within Corporate Risk Management, produces internal and external reporting and analysis used to manage risk through changing market conditions, supports regulatory requirements regarding Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting, and executes controls to measure the quality of risk data. Legal Entity Risk Reporting supports Risk Management Coverage teams and Legal Entity Risk Managers (LERMs), responsible for risk oversight of legal entities, by providing solutions to the reporting needs in their respective locations. This requires an understanding of the business and regulatory requirements to provide a consistent response to each of the Regulators with whom we interact.
Job Responsibilities
The candidate will be based in Singapore and will report to the APAC Legal Entity Credit Risk Reporting Manager.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and reporting Legal Entity Credit Risk and interaction with senior stakeholders. There will also be a close involvement with Climate and Credit Risk Management, and Legal Entity Risk Managers.
- Focus on building strong relationships with Climate Risk, LERMs, Senior Credit Risk Officers, Audit, Finance and Compliance teams throughout Asia Pacific. The candidate will be required to understand the regulatory requirements across various APAC locations, and adhere to the Risk Reporting Framework .
- Act as the resident reporting expert supporting APAC Climate Risk Management and LERMs with their regulatory reporting needs, and will play a key role in understanding and producing the broader risk reporting requirements. Reporting ranges from daily to quarterly and includes ad hoc reporting and analytics.
- The candidate will also support entity specific reporting needs from regulators and external auditors, and should be able to discuss their work with Risk Managers.
- Identify data quality issues and liaises with the appropriate stakeholders to resolve
- Maintain data quality in the reporting system and utilize system tools to control the accuracy of report result
- Maintain reporting procedure documentation
- Maintaining robust controls in production of BAU reporting
Required skillset, capabilities and qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics
- 5 plus year’s of overall experience inRisk reporting experience, with solid experience in implementing reporting tool, or,
- Risk project management/ Risk Analysis
- Prior experience in financial services industry will be preferred
- Familiarity and understanding of credit risk (traditional credit products, securities and derivatives) and market risk. Knowledge of Climate Risk requirements is a plus
- You should be familiar with all key information technologies including basic computer programming skills (VBA, Python, macros) and knowledge of Intelligent Solutions (Alteryx, Tableau, UiPath) are a plus
- You will need to have strong attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and be able to see the big picture.
- We’re looking for team players who are independent, analytical thinkers, proactive, self-motivated and can quickly adapt to the fast-paced work environment.
- You will have good interpersonal and influencing skills; able to communicate effectively and provide timely advice to our stakeholders.
- You should be able to handle/process large amount of raw data and transform them into useful analysis results efficiently
