Job Description
This role is for a Senior Presentations Associate on the J.P. Morgan Payments Global Presentations team. The associate will serve as a local leader within the APAC region for our Presentations Associates who work on presentations for our APAC sales and relationship team partners. This position is based in Singapore, but will support activities across the APAC region and will report to a team manager located in the United States.
In addition to acting as our local Global Presentations coordinator for the APAC region, the Senior Presentations Associate will also create high-quality, effective presentations for our APAC sales and relationship teams that result in new client acquisition or retention of current clients.
We are seeking candidates who are comfortable meeting with sales, product and proposal teams locally in Singapore, helping to understand their needs while at the same time assisting our team with the assignment of projects and providing weekly updates. A strong Senior Presentations Associate is a strategic thinker, creative writer and storyteller with the ability to work closely with our sales and relationship teams to understand their objectives and create clear, concise and visually compelling presentations.
Our presentations are client-focused, showing how our company’s solutions and value proposition can help meet real-world client or industry needs, while staying within our compliance and brand requirements. The senior associate must be able to manage and prioritize multiple projects and meet varying deadlines, leading projects that have stakeholders across multiple lines of business within our company. Additionally, the senior associate has the people skills, confidence and experience to serve as an in-market team leader, leading meetings and assigning/delegating work assignments to associates.
We are looking for a strong independent worker who does not require direct local supervision, but able to report to our local office (frequency to be determined) where our regional sales, relationship and product management partners are located. Must be comfortable conducting professional virtual meetings and/or conference calls to work on projects and meet with managers and teammates.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with administrative and management duties on the team, including leading team meetings and assigning work to other associates.
- Partner with sales and relationship teams to understand what they need, then use our preapproved slides and/or create new custom slides to tell a compelling story that strategically aligns our capabilities with the client or prospect’s needs.
- Develop working knowledge of the J.P. Morgan Payments business and solutions in order to think strategically about the presentations our team develops. Translate technical information into language that is easy to understand for meeting attendees and their colleagues.
- Gather information and consult with our subject matter experts to clarify details.
- Collaborate with our graphics team to help create compelling, visually impactful presentations.
- Work with peers across our Presentation and Proposal teams to support presentation development efforts, share best practices and increase team efficiency.
- Perform discovery calls and manage multiple projects simultaneously, clearly communicating deadlines and responsibilities to drive on-time completion of all projects.
- Manage feedback from multiple stakeholders on a project, make meaningful updates to improve the quality and accuracy of the presentation, and obtain required approvals.
- Ensure all materials are compliant with our legal and brand guidelines, and run them through our team’s quality control approval process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Previous team leadership or people management roles are ideal, but not required
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience writing and creating presentations and/or marketing materials
- Strong presentation skills in PowerPoint, and working knowledge of Word and Excel
- Strong project management and organization skills
- Ability to tell a compelling story, with exceptional communication and editorial skills
- Graphic design experience and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, Photoshop and/or Illustrator) is ideal, but not required
- Banking or payments industry knowledge is ideal, but not required
- Strong leadership skills and ability to interact, influence and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Proven self-starter, detail-oriented, well organized and able to multitask effectively
- High level of independence, energy and integrity; demonstrate respect for a diversity of opinions and styles and accept accountability
- Commitment to ethical business principles, including diversity, inclusion and gender equality
- Ability to occasionally work outside of normal business hours during critical phases of a project
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and pressure
