Job Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Operations departments in the Branches in Asia & Oceania/East Asia to identify and implement system, workflow or process enhancements to deliver operational efficiency. Candidate will also be responsible for supporting the Branches in delivering projects including but not limited to contributing to project scope, timelines, processes and workflow development.
Strategic
- Support to meet the expense budget in the Division
Customer
- Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with key stakeholders both within MUFG and externally
- Partnership with colleagues across the region to support the implementation of regional projects at a branch level.
- Work in partnership with colleagues in Operations to provide advice on MUFG operations policies and procedures
- Work in partnership with Operations department to investigate incidents including conduct interviews, collect data and contribute to recommendations to mitigate incidents in the future.
- Strong collaboration with MUFG Product Offices and Operations departments to contribute to new products processes and workflows ensuring it aligns to MUFG policies and also provide guidance on the operations procedures
- Work in partnership with Compliance and Legal for the purpose of information sharing and understanding of relevant legislation and regulations that may impact the Bank’s operations
Other/ Control
- Contribute to the development of the project scope, project deliverables, project timelines, and project documentation (project plan, work breakdown list, risk register).
- Review project proposals and ensure the project meets MUFG policies and procedures.
- Support the branches in reviewing the impact of changes to local regulations on the branch’s current workflow procedures and processes and make recommendations to ensure compliance
- Review updates to the branch’s operations manual to assess accuracy and alignment to workflow processes
- Develop recommendations for continuous improvement and support implementation
- Prepare or coordinate reports on projects performance and recommend appropriate actions
- Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations
- Act as a subject matter expert to management on all MUFG operations policies and procedures
- Adhere to all company policies as well as guidelines.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in bank’s office operations (Import/ Export, Deposit, Remittance, Loans, Deposits and Treasury).
- Experience in stakeholder management to collaborate with other departments
- Experience in project management, to support operations department in delivering projects
- Good communication skills with the ability to influence others
- Good knowledge of system, process and workflows relevant to operations
