Job brief:
Together with the IT team, determines the best mix of development, interfacing applications, third party vendor solutions to meet SAVH requirements and project objectives. Work with the different stakeholders in SAVH to develop, establish, promote and enforce good guidelines in the implementation and the resolution of problems for existing applications and requests.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for deploying, installing, configuring, troubleshooting, maintaining, upgrading, monitoring and supporting of IT infrastructures with WAN, LAN, PCs, Laptops, printers, copiers, operating systems, associated hardware and software and applications including Salesforce Membership, Clients and Volunteer Systems, Sage on Cloud system, SAVH website, VPN, Firewall, File Server, Office 365, antivirus software, endpoint IT security, routers, switches and LAN cabling;
- Assist staff or clients through a series of actions, either through face-to-face or over the phone for solving their IT issues and providing IT training including IT training to our visually impaired clients (VI);
- Produce procedural documentation, SOPs, network diagrams, written instructions, IT assets inventory and relevant reports;
- Setup new users’ accounts and profiles; and deal with password issues;
- Prioritise and manage cases and respond within agreed time limits to call-outs;
- Rapidly establish a good working relationship with staff, clients and volunteers;
- Test and evaluate new technology including assistive technology for VI and support the roll-out of new applications including applications used by VI;
- Assist in procurement of IT services, hardware and software, and liaise/coordinate with IT vendors and service/solutions providers to ensure continuous delivery of services;
- Assist and facilitate IT & Administration Manager to ensure compliance of cybersecurity policies;
- Perform administrative duties, as well as any other duties assigned by Head of Corporate Services and the Executive Director.
Requirements and skills
- Minimum a Diploma, preferable a Degree in IT or related disciple with at least 3-5 years of hands on relevant technical working experience;
- In-depth knowledge in IT, network, operating systems and software;
- Experienced and good knowledge with Office 365 administration;
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills;
- Competent in documenting standards and applications operating procedure;
- Good interpersonal and communications skills to interact effectivity at all levels;
- Ability to cover after-office hours duties and weekend support in event of any infrastructure issues.
