Dental assistant
Responsibilities (dental assistant)
- Assist in general clinical procedures, including chair-side assistance
- Help patients settle into surgery and treatment
- Record and update the patient’s dental history
- Attend to patient’s enquiries
- Prepare tables, trays, and other necessary dental instruments
- Sterilise and clean instruments and the environment
- Clean and prepare treatment rooms
- Receive phone calls and manage appointment bookings
- Dispense medication, collect payment, and schedule the next appointment
- Work closely with the receptionist to manage appointments
- Manage the clinic
Receptionist
Responsibilities (receptionist)
- Record and update the patient’s dental history
- Attend to patient’s enquiries promptly and courteously
- Receive phone calls and manage appointment bookings
- Dispense medication, collect payment, and schedule the next appointment
- Work closely with the dental assistant to manage appointments
- Prepare all forms for dental treatments
- Maintain and ensure the cleanliness of the clinic
Requirements (dental assistant & receptionist)
- Dental assisting: 6 months to 1-year experience (required for dental assistant only)
- 6 months to 1-year experience in any industry (required for receptionist only)
- Willing to learn new things
- Basic computer skills (e.g. email, Microsoft Word/Excel) and willing to learn digital dentistry CAD/CAM workflow
- Good people skills
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Bilingual (EN and CN)
Schedule
- Hours 44 hour per week/ Alternate Saturdays off (full-time)
- 3 – 4 days (part-time)
