The Executive, a key member of the NTU Shared Services (NSS) Analytics team, is responsible for the efficient management of data systems and knowledge resources to support university operations. Collaborating closely with analysts, their primary responsibility is to maintain and optimize data pipelines, ensuring reliable data services for effective decision-making. They oversee the maintenance and enhancement of data systems and analytics products, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements for optimized data processing and delivery. Furthermore, they manage access controls to data assets by assigning and regularly reviewing access rights to stakeholders based on their roles and responsibilities.
Additionally, the Executive, if inclined, may contribute to the development and implementation of analytics and data science initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the analytics team to maintain and optimize robust data pipelines
- Ensure the reliability and accessibility of data assets while adhering to data governance standards.
- Assist business stakeholders in troubleshooting issues and implementing enhancements to ensure data availability.
- Perform optimization and maintenance activities on dashboards and data pipelines.
- Manage access controls to data assets by assigning and regularly reviewing access rights to stakeholders based on their roles and responsibilities
- Participate in the development and implementation of analytics initiatives
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or any other relevant fields.
- Basic proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Power BI.
- 1 – 3 years of experience in data-related roles, or a demonstrated willingness to learn in this field.
- Proficiency in Power Query, UiPath
- Basic programming skills (Python)
- Experience with data modelling and database design
- Comfortable with technology
- Good interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
