We are currently looking for adequate candidates to fill the position of Corporate Tax Advisory - Manager/Senior Manager (Japanese-Speaking). We can give you a fairly competitive salary in the amount of SGD 2.000 - SGD 5.700 on average. It also can be modified based on the credibility and experience you can provide for our business in accordance with our company HRD agreement.

How will you value-add?

With more than 250 tax professionals, our Tax Services group is one of the largest tax practices in Singapore. We help individuals, businesses, both public and private organisations, with tax strategy, planning and compliance. Our clients, both local and international, spans across different industries including Financial Services, Consumer and Industrial Goods, Real Estate, Transport and Logistics, Services, Technology, Info-communications, Entertainment and Media.

Your role as a Manager/Senior Manager will be the following but not limited to:

  • Providing comprehensive and technically excellent Singapore and International corporate tax advisory services involving structuring, investments, M&A and other advisory work to a variety of Singapore/Globally clients across a diverse range of industries;
  • Learning (we will train you as part of PwC’s Coaching Culture), applying and delivering Digital Tax Solutions including the use of Robotic Process Automation and Data Analytics;
  • Assisting clients with dispute resolutions and enquiries from the tax authority;
  • Fostering strong relationships with our clients and taking a pro-active role in ensuring that our clients are up to date with the market’s changes and trends;
  • Playing an active role in identifying and winning new business opportunities with a focus on developing opportunities within the Japanese business community in Singapore; 
  • Offering Japanese language support to support communication between engagement teams and Japanese clients;
  • Having a holistic view of tax and professional services through collaboration with other business units and lines of service across the firm; 
  • Actively participating in the coaching, mentoring and management of our team of young professionals;
  • Collaborating with government bodies (such as the Economic Development Board and Enterprise Singapore).

About you

  • Recognised relevant Degree and/or relevant Postgraduate/Professional Qualification in Accounting, Tax, Business, Economics, Law or Technology;
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience in Singapore and International corporate tax; 
  • Strong in written and spoken English;
  • Ability to speak and write in Japanese (native level or JLPT N1 is preferred) to communicate with our Japanese Clients
  • Communicates with impact, knowledge and strong understanding of client’s needs;
  • Ability to effectively team across business units and lines of service to identify and deliver service opportunities
  • Ability and willingness to keep up-to-date technically and learn digital skills to deliver effectively to clients;
