About the Department

The Finance and Corporate Services function manages the financial and administrative needs of the Group to help achieve its business goals.

Group Finance

We support enhanced decision-making to achieve optimal and sustainable financial outcomes for our shareholders. We are responsible for providing insights into the performance of the Group through financial, regulatory and performance reporting of the Group.

Job Responsibilities

The candidate must possess good product, business and operational knowledge of the Global Markets Business and be able to leverage the experience to provide an external benchmark view of finance best practices for the business.

Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Facilitate business stakeholders in strategic planning, annual target setting and budgeting and monthly forecasting and Key Performance Indicator tracking.
  • Prepare and validate monthly financial performance reports, delivering in-depth analysis with insights into performance of the business by trading desk/product and country as well as link performance against risk/position taken and macro-economic market factors.
  • Drive understanding and business focus on Risk Weighted Asset and Capital consumption.  
  • Month-end closing responsibilities, covering all management accounting entries to enable accurate and timely segmental reporting at the group level per group timelines.
  • Review monthly regulatory reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy and explaining M-o-M variances.
  • Provide periodic analytical and productivity reports to the business.
  • Deliver on ad-hoc requests and queries from the business and other stakeholders, including the overseas business finance counterparts.
  • Engage as finance representative to support new product rollouts and recurring review of existing GM product program, providing input on accounting and IFRS9 related areas.
  • Participate in bank-wide projects, as well as support any business specific system changes or process enhancements to facilitate a more robust reporting environment.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree (Accounting, Finance or Business)Bachelor Degree (Accounting, Finance or Business) with at least 10 years relevant working experience in banking industry, preferably in the Treasury Product Control and FP&A areas.
  • Strong knowledge of treasury products including accounting and regulatory requirements. Knowledge of front-to-back treasury processes will be advantageous.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint user. Experience with Power BI and DAX preferable.
  • Strong team player, with good interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills.
  • Keen analytical skills with experience in financial and management reporting and analysis.
  • Ability to engage and manage a wide group of stakeholders, including front office, market risk, product control, operations and finance
